Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) has Revealed its Regulations for Crypto Exchanges.

This new framework falls under the purview of SC’s Guidelines on Recognised Markets, which is the same that is used to regulate Equity Crowdfunding and P2P lending players. Under the same guideline, the SC has amended a section to introduce new requirements for crypto exchanges.

The revised guidelines categorise crypto exchanges as Digital Asset Exchange Operators.

Guidelines for ICOs have yet to be released and is expected to be made public in 2019.
